Himalayan Heights

Squadron members, as guests of the Pakistan Airforce, flew to via Syria, Jordan and Oman to Quetta and thence via the Hindu Kush and along the Indus river deep into the Himalayas.
A unique pioneering expedition unlikely to be repeated, not only because of the risk to light single-engine aircraft flying into such hostile terrain for which permission was only very reluctantly given, but also due to the deteriorating security situation in the region ever since.
