Crossing the north Atlantic via Iceland and Greenland, the Squadron light aircraft flew to Washington DC as guests of the US Air Force
The mission then continued to the USA west coast stopping at San Diego before turning north to Vancouver Island and then Alaska. The return journey was mostly across the tundra of northern Canada and via Greenland then Iceland to Scotland once again.
